Animal ambulance gets new roof ahead of plan

Due to the persistent rain this summer, the time when even parts of Maastricht were evacuated due to the threat of flooding, part of the roof of the Dierenambulance’s shelter gave way. As a result, 2/3 of the shelter capacity became unusable and the animals threatened to become the victims.

Party Maastricht Safe has gone to great lengths for the animal ambulance and ensured that their voice was heard by the bench of mayor and aldermen as soon as possible. The bench then decided to expedite the planned maintenance and to have the roof repaired urgently. We are happy that those animals, who have been less fortunate in their lives, can now wait for a new owner in a dry and safe place.
